What will you give feedback on?

A blog that's 500 words or less. Fellows have been learning the basics of software development from code, documentations, tests, CI/CD, and more. This is their chance to practice their developer voice on how they problem solved

You'll be matched with a fellow over email and have a google doc shared with you of their draft

We'll provide a checklist of things to look for in the blog that you can comment directly within the google doc  
.         Submit all comments of feedback anytime between June 8th-17th on the google doc  and receive swag for mentoring. Get started in minutes with prebuilt      dev environment and template            workflow. Students will have access      to copilot

Who's blogs are you reviewing?

Early career devs who come from bootcamps, HBCUs, and community colleges 

Fellows will have an issue scoped for them and they'll drive in the pairing session with Copilot prompts. You'll help guide them with what questions to ask and how to test their answers. 

Here are a few ways you can be a great mentor:
  • Break it down - Where would be the first place you look for context or clues? 
  • Think out loud - how are you making decisions or asking questions? 
  • Lead with empathy - what were the great pieces of advice you received on your journey?
